Shandong G.STAR/China: PAP (plastic / aluminium / plastic) Pipes and Fittings

Monday, May 31st, 2010

PAP pipe of G.StAR is made of PE/PEX/PPR, aluminum. It’s smooth, high temperature resistance, environment-friendly non-toxic. The middle aluminum layer can isolate air totally. The pipe has characteristics of both the aluminum pipe and plastic pipe, so it can get rid of weakness of the both respectively and have a long service life up to 50 or more years. (more…)

The Largest sector of the PE-X market is for Multilayer Pipes

Monday, May 24th, 2010

Thanks to excellent resistance to high temperature, PE-X pipes became interesting for thermo-sanitary applications many years ago, and have been established for these applications for over 35 years.   Wherever hot water is used, PE-X is the solution for all classes of hot water application, including the UK Class S with a higher boiler malfunction temperature. PE-X is the only plastics material that covers the whole temperature range with excellent low temperature toughness, and is the only plastics material that can be used for gas supply systems in a temperature range of -50 ˚C to +60 ˚C in accordance with ISO 14531. Blansol Multipex PEX/AL/PEX Pipes

Thursday, September 17th, 2009

In Blansol Multipex Pipes (’alupex‘), both the inner and outer layers are made of cross-linked polyethylene (PEX). This improves their behaviour in comparison with non-cross-linked multilayer pipes. PEX is the ideal material for multilayer pipes working in applications where high temperatures are required (up to 95°C), such as the connection of radiators in heating applications.
Blansol PEX/AL/PEX multilayer (’alupex’) pipes have superior performance with regard to connection viability. Multilayer pipes based on cross-linked polyethylene (PEX/AL/PEX), ensure that the compression force at the union is maintained even at high temperatures (over 95°C). Other polyethylenes which are not cross-linked, melt at these high temperatures, so the wall-thickness of the pipe becomes thinner, reducing the compression force of the union with an increased risk of leakage.

Butt-Welded Aluminium

Blansol Multipex pipes have their aluminium layer butt-welded. This improves their resistance to both internal pressure and to the stress generated when the pipes are bent during installation. In the butt-welded multilayer pipes, the welding line of the aluminium layer is the strongest point of the layer. (more…)
