Cincinnati Extrusion symposium augments pipes conference
CINCINNATI Extrusion will be holding a Pipe Symposium in Vienna in September with lectures in English and machinery demonstrations at Cincinnati’s factory. The dates, September 19 and 25, have been chosen to coincide with the Plastics Pipes XIV conference being held in Budapest, Hungary, from September 22 – 24.
The conference itself is trailling “some landmark papers”, including a proposal for the replacement of large diameter cast iron and steel pipes for the gas industry with plastics, test results on plastic pipes used to transport sulphuric acid for 21 years and a full dry system developed for pipe bi-orientation that will generate new opportunities for the future of PVC-O pipes. Altogether around 100 papers will be presented at the three-day conference, which also includes a trade exhibition. It is organised jointly by TEPPFA, PE 100 +, PVC4Pipes and the Plastics Pipe Institute.
