The Multilayer World In A Nutshell

REHAU compression sleeve technology with multilayer pipes also proven for natural gas installations

REHAU will complete its proven domestic installation system RAUTITAN with RAUTITAN gas for natural gas installations inside buildings. The innovative principle with the compression sleeve jointing technique, which has been proven millions of times over in drinking water and heating applications with RAUTITAN, has been transferred to a technically new alternative for natural gas installations up to 100 mbar.

The launch on the German market will be held at the beginning of April 2008, although deliveries will only become possible after final approval of the updated TRGI. RAUTITAN gas is a complete DVGW-tested system for gas installations inside buildings. Its application is permissible for interior piping in compliance with DVGW worksheet G 600 (TRGI) and pertains to the further conveyance of natural gas at a maximum operating pressure of 100 mbar. With the RAUTITAN gas system, the RAUTITAN gas range of fittings will come into use for the first time. The compression sleeves are marked with a yellow dot and the fittings also with a yellow dot and W/G 100 to discern them explicitly from the universal range.
