SESTA SRL at ISH presents its Multilayer System enlarged by Press-Fittings
SESTA srl a new company operating in the heating, air conditioning and plumbing sector presented at ISH among other things its multilayer tubing and multilayer system.
Multi-layer tubing is ideal for plumbing and heating systems in civil and industrial constructions. It is manufactured according to specifications dictated by UNI 10954-1 “Metallo-plastic multiplayer piping systems for hot and cold water” standard, certified by the Italian Institute of Plastics (IIP). SESTA Multi-layer tubing consists of a combination of Metal-plastic layers of (PE-Xb/Al/PE-Xb) which are able to combine the advantages of cross-linked Polyethylene (plastic) with the toughness of aluminium, giving results which go beyond the simple sum of its parts. The Mulit-layer tubing consists of five layers: PE-Xb, Aluminium, PE-Xb, which are bound together with two layers of adhesive resin, ensuring total uniform adherence between the parts.
The new 2008 SESTA Multilayer system
SESTA has enlarged its primary production of multiplayer pipes with the introduction of a full range of Press Fittings. The choice of using a pressure type system has been determined by the many advantages that this system presents compared to the screw fitting system.
Advantages:
a) The blocking of the pipe with the Press Fitting system is entrusted mainly to specifically designed standardized mechanical equipment and is simple to use, while the screw type depends very much on the ability of the installer. So the major reliability of the press fitting method compared to the screw method is quite evident.
b) The quickness of the installation of Press Fittings is another feature that makes it a winner compared to other methods, as the operation takes only a few seconds.
c) Press Fittings are factory pre-assembled thus minimizing mistakes, due to the possible loss of key components, during assembly.
d) Press Fittings are essentially single use, yet another guarantee of quality.
e) The sum of the benefits listed above guarantees the utilization of SESTA Press Fittings even in under-flooring installations without any problems.
“TH” PRESSURE SYSTEM
Among the various pressure systems available on the market (around 20), SESTA has designed its fittings for use based on the TH system, certainly the most widespread and tested. The TH profile simply indicates the standardized design of the inner part of the jaw pressing tool. The latter is operated by a special press-machine that deforms in a repetitive and irreversible way the stainless steel cover of the speciafically designed SESTA Fitting, thus ensuring water-tightness over long periods of time.
